Youth Parliament

The Youth Parliament is an annual event in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) that helps students learn about how India’s parliament works. The event is held at three levels: regional, zonal, and national. The Youth Parliament helps students:
Participate in parliamentary-style debates, discussions, and decision-making
Develop leadership skills
Become more aware of civic issues
Understand democratic principles
Learn about governance and policy issues
Develop healthy habits of discipline and tolerance
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan introduced the Youth Parliament to strengthen democracy and help students learn about how parliament works.
